Dean Smith’s Aston Villa won against Frank Lampard’s Derby County on Monday.

The former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker has congratulated Villa for their win against Derby in the Championship playoff final on Monday afternoon.
Dean Smith’s side won 2-1 against the Rams at Wembley Stadium in London to clinch promotion to the Premier League.
Anwar El Ghazi put Villa in the lead after 44 minutes, and John McGinn doubled the advantage on 59 minutes.
Derby halved the deficit on 81 minutes when Martyn Waghorn found the net, but the Villans held on for the win.
Owen has congratulated Villa on Twitter, and he also has some positive words for Derby, who will play in the Championship next season.

Villa are a massive club, and the Villa Park faithful will be absolutely delighted that the team are back in the Premier League.
As for Derby, with Frank Lampard in charge, the fans will hope to challenge for promotion from the Premier League again next season.
