Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen said on the Live Premier League Tonight show on BT Sport 1 last Saturday evening (8pm, September 9, 2017) that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is a better finisher than Manchester United ace Romelu Lukaku.

Kane and Lukaku are two of the best strikers in the Premier League and will be aiming to win the Golden Boot this season.

Tottenham striker Kane has been the top scorer in the Premier League for the past two seasons, while Lukaku is a proven goalscorer in the English top flight.

The Belgium international striker, who joined United from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window, has scored four goals in the league for the Red Devils so far this season.

Former Liverpool and Newcastle striker Owen, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, has said that although Lukaku could win the Premier League Golden Boot this season, Kane is the better finisher.

Harry Kane of Tottenham celebrates scoring to make it 1-0 during the pre-season match between Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus at Wembley Stadium on August 5, 2017 in London, England.

“Lukaku is a decent finisher,” said Owen on the Live Premier League Tonight show on BT Sport 1 last Saturday evening (8pm, September 9, 2017).

“I would still say even though he might end up with the Golden Boot, there are better finishers in the Premier League than Lukaku, and I think Kane is one of them.”
