Michael Owen has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United having a goal controversially ruled out against Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Newcastle have played out a goalless draw with Palace at home this afternoon.
The Magpies had the ball in the back of the net, but it was ruled out due to a perceived foul.
Joe Willock was adjudged to have committed a foul on Vicente Guaita, as Tyrick Mitchell put the ball into his own net.
However, replays showed that Mitchell appeared to push Willock into the Palace goalkeeper
Former Newcastle striker Owen believes that the goal for Eddie Howe’s side should have stood, as you can from his tweet below.
