Everton look set to sell Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, but the former Liverpool man isn’t convinced by him.

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Everton to sign striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Red Devils will pay an initial £75 million for the 24-year-old according to BBC Sport, who go on to claim that an additional £15 million will be paid at some point.

Although the Everton man is not officially a United player yet, it certainly looks as if Lukaku, who still has to complete a medical and agree personal terms, will wind up at Old Trafford in the very near future.

Belgium's Romelu Lukaku misses a chance to score

The Belgian marksman scored 25 Premier League goals last season, having managed 28 league strikes during his previous two seasons at Goodison Park.

Michael Owen knows a thing or two about being a prolific striker in England’s top flight, scoring 150 goals during spells with Liverpool, Newcastle United and the Red Devils.

And the legendary hitman admits that he has reservations over the Everton man at the moment.

Of course, Lukaku has a long way to go before he justifies a potentially £90 million deal, but very few would back against the towering striker to live up to his billing.

Fact is, he is an exceptionally talented goalscorer and, at 24, he is only going to get a lot better.
