Liverpool lost 2-1 away at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Liverpool’s Champions League campaign is hanging by a thread after they were beaten 2-1 by Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.
The Reds lost their lost Champions League game in a shock defeat at Red Star Belgrade, and knew that they needed to turn in a strong performance against PSG.
However, the damage was done inside the first 40 minutes, as Juan Bernat gave PSG the lead, before Neymar made it 2-0 for the hosts, giving Liverpool a mountain to climb.
James Milner did score from the penalty spot to bring Liverpool back into the game, but the Reds couldn’t find an equaliser and went home empty handed, meaning they have lost every away game in this season’s Champions League.
Liverpool must now beat Napoli in their final game to go through, in a winner-takes-all clash at Anfield, something the Reds have succeeded with before; Olympiakos, anybody?

After last night’s disappointing result, ex-Liverpool striker Michael Owen took to Twitter, and he suggested that his former club are ‘making it hard for themselves’.
However, Owen has faith that it’s all set up for a dramatic night at Anfield, believing that the Reds can come through with a memorable European night once again.
