Liverpool drew a second successive game 1-1 as they failed to fully extend their leader over Manchester City.

The draw away to West Ham meant the gap at the top increased to three points, instead of the possible five.

City now have a chance to overtake the Reds this week when they play out of form Everton.

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has backed his old side to still come out on top in the title race.

Liverpool’s next fixture is at home to Bournemouth on Saturday at 3pm.
