Premier League outfit Arsenal have won the Emirates Cup.
Michael Owen has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Arsenal’s victory in the Emirates Cup.
The Gunners won the pre-season friendly tournament earlier today, leading the former Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United striker to express his admiration.
Pre-season is not everything
While one has to admit that Arsenal were truly brilliant in the Emirates Cup, it must be kept in mind that this was only a pre-season friendly tournament.
The Gunners need to take this form into the upcoming 2015-16 campaign and build on it, or else the Emirates Cup triumph will mean nothing.
Arsenal have often started seasons poorly, and that has been a major factor in them not being able to challenge for the Premier League title.
Fans of the North London outfit will hope that history does not repeat itself, and that Arsene Wenger’s side reclaim the title they last won in 2004.
