Michael Owen reckons Wolverhampton Wanderers will finish in the top half of the Premier League table this season after they earned their second Premier League win of the season on Sunday.

Wolves dominated the match and should have hit the back of the net more than just the one goal scored through summer signing Raul Jimenez, who turned home Matt Doherty’s pull back just after the hour mark.

Indeed, the newly-promoted side had 30 attempts on goal but found Joe Hart in his best form between the sticks, as the former Manchester City, Torino and West Ham stopper continues to rediscover his previous form.

Owen reckons Wolves will finish in the top half of the Premier League table after their excellent display at Molineux, as they continue to surpass expectation following their promotion as Champions of England’s second tier.

Wolves have brought in some excellent talent, with the club renowned for their strong connection with Portugal. Rui Patricio and Joao Moutinho are experienced Portuguese stars, while Jimenez came from Benfica on loan.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side face a hugely difficult test in their next outing, as they travel north to Manchester to face Jose Mourinho’s United at Old Trafford, who beat the impressive Watford away from home on Saturday.
