Former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that West Ham United will lose to Liverpool this weekend.

West Ham will take on Liverpool at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

“This promises to be a terrific game under the London Stadium lights and I think Liverpool can follow up their 4-0 win from the corresponding game last season although the scoreline on that occasion flattered the Reds,” former Liverpool striker Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“Great to see Daniel Sturridge back among the goals against Huddersfield last weekend and the England International has a good record against West Ham scoring five times in seven PL games against the Hammers. I expect to see goals with my old club getting the lion’s share.”

A footnote added: “Tip: Liverpool to win and both teams to score.”

Liverpool have a much better team than West Ham, and the Reds will head into the game against the Hammers as favourites.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are in good form at the moment, and they should be able to pick up maximum points at the London Stadium.

The Hammers, though, are not going to make it easy for the Merseyside outfit and will fancy their chances of getting at least a draw.
