West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United will face each other in the Premier League this evening.

West Brom will face Newcastle at The Hawthorns in the Premier League in a few hours’ time.
The Baggies are 17th in the league table at the moment with just 11 points from 13 matches, only a point above the relegation zone.
The Magpies are also currently struggling, having picked up only 14 points from 13 matches.

Former Newcastle striker Owen believes that the match between the Baggies and the Magpies this evening will end in a draw.
“Managerless Albion picked up a valuable point at Wembley on Saturday and Newcastle will want to arrest their current slide midweek,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Alan Pardew appears to be on the brink of taking over at the Hawthorns (1/6 at the time of writing) and it is fascinating that the Baggies next two games are against Newcastle and Palace – both clubs previously managed by Pardew. I can’t split the sides and expect them to share the spoils.”

Meanwhile, Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez defended the performance of defender DeAndre Yedlin against Watford at St. James’ Park in the Premier League at the weekend.
The Magpies suffered a 3-0 defeat to Marco Silva’s Watford at home last Saturday afternoon.
“I don’t like to talk about players but I was really pleased with some of the things he did,” Benitez told The Chronicle about Yedlin.
“They had an extra player on that side and Richarlison is quite difficult to control and their full-back was going forward. It’s hard for him to be in both places at the same time.”
West Brom are looking for a new manager, with Gary Megson in temporary charge of the Baggies at the moment.
According to The Sun, former Newcastle and West Ham United manager Alan Pardew will be appointed the new manager at The Hawthorns.
“I’ve absolutely no idea,” Gary Megson told The Birmingham Mail when asked about speculation of Pardew taking over. “They’ll make their mind up on who they want.
“Whether it’s good, bad or indifferent that’s incumbent on the board, not myself. I’m just doing this job for a long as I’m told.”
