Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Southampton this weekend.
Tottenham will take on Southampton at White Hart Lane in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Owen has backed the home side to pick up all three points from the encounter in North London.
“Spurs look likely to have to do without Harry Kane following his injury against Millwall last weekend in the FA Cup,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“It is worth noting that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have played 12 times without Kane so far this term including nine games against top-flight opposition.
“Spurs have only won three and scored just eight times in those nine games, which highlights just how important Kane is to Pochettino’s side.
“That said I expect Spurs to improve on their excellent home record so far this season and keep the points in the capital.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Spurs to win at 7/10.”
Tottenham are in good form at the moment and will head into the match against Southampton with confidence.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side hammered Millwall 6-0 at White Hart Lane in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup last weekend.
Playing at home is going to be an advantage for Spurs, who should be able to pick up all three points against the Saints.
Southampton, though, will not make it easy for Tottenham. The Saints are aiming to finish in the top 10 of the Premier League this season.
Claude Puel’s side will head into the game against Spurs on the back of a 4-3 victory over Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League.
