Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Manchester United at home this week.

Tottenham will take on the Red Devils at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Former Liverpool and United striker Owen has backed Mauricio Pochettino’s side to pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-1 win.

Michael Owen celebrates during the Star Sixe's match between England and Spain in the at The O2 Arena on July 13, 2017 in London, England.

Owen wrote on Betvictor.com: “Spurs have won their last two home league games against Manchester United but the Red Devils have won their last six at Wembley scoring at least twice in each of those games.

“Harry Kane has currently scored 99 PL goals and the great Alan Shearer scored his 100th PL goal against United.

“I expect to see a hugely entertaining game, which could go either way, but the hosts get a narrow vote in a fixture that should see goals.”

A footnote added: “Tip: Spurs to win 2-1 at 17/2.”

Michael Owen of Liverpool scores during the FA Barclaycard Premiership match between Liverpool and West Ham United at Anfield, Liverpool on November 2, 2002.

Tottenham are good at home, and the North London outfit will head into the match against United with confidence.

Spurs have some superb footballers, and with star striker Harry Kane in top form, they should score at least once.

United, though, will not make it easy, and one should not be surprised if manager Jose Mourinho decides to play a defensive game.

After all, a point at Wembley against Tottenham would be a good result for United in their quest to finish second in the Premier League this season.

One should not be surprised if the Premier League game between Tottenham and United at Wembley ends in a draw.
