Tottenham Hotspur will face Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Chelsea this weekend.

Tottenham will take on London rivals Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Owen has backed Mauricio Pochettino’s side to pick up all three points from the encounter in London.

The former Newcastle United striker has also predicted Harry Kane to score for Spurs against Chelsea.

The former England international, though, does not expect Spurs to improve on their home form from the 2016-17 campaign this season.

Harry Kane #10 of Tottenham Hotspur reacts in the second half against Roma during the International Champions Cup on July 25, 2017 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

“The first-ever PL game played at Wembley Stadium and it will be impossible for Spurs to improve on their remarkable unbeaten home record last season at White Hart Lane,” Owen write on Betvictor.com.

“Indeed, Spurs have won 14 home PL games on the spin and will break their club record if they can beat the Champions on Sunday.

“Antonio Conte will have to do without both Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas through suspension and, make no mistake, this is a huge game for both clubs even at this early stage of the season.

“Spurs have only won one of their last nine games at Wembley – but I expect them to double that tally with Harry Kane to score his 100th goal for Spurs.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Spurs to win at 21/20.”

Tottenham made a strong start to the 2017-18 Premier League campaign and won 2-0 against Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park last weekend.

The performance of Spurs was not exactly great, especially in the first half, but it was effective and got the job done.

The North London outfit will head into the match against Chelsea high on confidence and will be favourites to win.

Chelsea are the defending Premier League champions, but the Blues suffered a 3-2 defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge in the league last weekend.

Manager Antonio Conte will be without defender Gary Cahill and midfielder Cesc Fabregas for the match against Spurs, as they were sent off against Burnley.
