Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa will face each other in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Tottenham Hotspur will win against Aston Villa this weekend.
Premier League outfit Tottenham will take on Championship club Villa at White Hart Lane in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
“Villa have improved under Steve Bruce but they still have a long way to go before they can be considered promotion candidates in the Championship,” Owen has written on Betvictor.com.
“Mauricio Pochettino will shuffle his pack but he must be thrilled with how his team have bounced back after what was a disappointing Champions League campaign earlier in the season.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation; Spurs -2 in the handicap at 21/10.”
Tottenham are in good form at the moment and will head into the match against Villa as favourites.
The North London outfit have a much better team, and manager Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Even if Pochettino picks a weakened team against the Villans, the home team should still be able to win.
Steve Bruce’s Villa are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season and stand a chance of playing in the Premier League during the 2017-18 campaign.
Tottenham are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 42 points from 20 matches, seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Villa are currently 12th in the Championship table with 35 points from 25 games.
