Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, as quoted in Metro.

Tottenham are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 67 points from 34 matches.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea, who have played 35 games.

Arsenal are currently fifth in the standings with 66 points from 34 matches, while Owen’s former club United are two points behind the Gunners in sixth.

Owen believes that Tottenham will finish in the top four of Premier League this season.

Metro quotes Owen as saying before Chelsea drew their game on Monday evening: “I think Tottenham are good, they’ve got a nice run-in, three games at home and they’ve already got a point advantage over the rest.”

Tottenham will take on Brighton and Hove Albion at White Hart Lane in the Premier League this evening.

Manchester United mistake?

Meanwhile, former Tottenham manager Jermaine Jenas has suggested on Twitter that Manchester United should have gone for Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Jenas believes that Pochettino was United’s long-term first-choice managerial target, and that the Red Devils should have stuck with that.

United recently appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager.
