Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Swansea City will win against Everton this weekend.

Swansea will take on Everton at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Owen has backed the Swans to pick up all three points from the encounter against the Merseyside outfit.

“Everton have never lost a PL game at the Liberty Stadium but that could be about to change with the Swans fighting for their PL lives,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“As good as Chelsea were Everton were disappointing at Goodison on Sunday and they have now failed to score in their last two games.

“The Blues are reported to be interested in signing the Swans Gylfi Sigurdsson but in the short term, the Icelander can have a major say in picking up three vital points for the hosts.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Swansea to win and both teams to score at 19/5.”

Swansea are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with 32 points from 35 matches.

The Swans are two points behind 17th-placed Hull City and still have a chance of escaping the drop to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Welsh outfit will head into the game against Everton on the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Everton currently find themselves seventh in the Premier League table with 58 points from 35 matches.

Ronald Koeman’s side can still finish in the top six, but they will probably have to settle for the seventh spot.

The Merseyside outfit will head into the game against the Swans on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea at Goodison Park in the league.
