Sutton United and Leeds United will face each other in the Championship this weekend.

Former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Leeds United will win against Sutton United away from home this weekend.

Championship club Leeds will take on National League outfit Sutton at the Borough Sports Ground in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Owen has backed the West Yorkshire outfit to win the tie and progress to the fifth round of the prestigious cup competition.

“Leeds continue to march on in the Championship and I don’t expect to see Sutton halting their progress in the Cup although there is unlikely to be a repeat of the only other time they played in the competition when the Whites won 6-0 back in 1970,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Leeds to win to nil at 2/1.”

Leeds have a strong squad and are doing extremely well in the Championship. The West Yorkshire are likely to end up in the playoffs this season and could perhaps even up in the top two.

Although head coach Garry Monk could make a few changes to his starting lineup against Sutton, it is hard to see the Whites losing the tie.

Perhaps an early goal for Sutton could create some problems for Leeds, but the visiting team have enough quality to stage a successful comeback.

Leeds, though, should not get complacent and must be clinical in front of the Sutton goal in order to make it easy for themselves.
