Former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Sunderland will win against Hull City at home this weekend.

Sunderland will take on fellow relegation candidates Hull at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Owen believes that the Black Cats will pick up all three points from the encounter.

“Both clubs gained much-needed wins in their last game before the international break and I was particularly impressed with the Black Cats who had to come from a goal down at Bournemouth,” the Englishman wrote on Betvictor.com.

“David Moyes is yet to taste success at the Stadium Of Light but I think the hosts can keep all three points in a massive game at the foot of the table.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Sunderland to win at 6/5.”

Sunderland are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Black Cats have managed to pick up just five points from 11 matches so far this campaign.

David Moyes’s side, though, won their last Premier League game, getting the better of Bournemouth 2-1 away from home at the Vitality Stadium before the international break.

Hull also won their last Premier League fixture, clinching a 2-1 victory over Southampton at the KCOM Stadium.

The Tigers are third from bottom in the league table at the moment with just 10 points from 11 matches, a point behind 17th-placed West Ham United.
