Southampton and West Ham United will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Southampton will win against West Ham United this weekend.

The Saints will take on West Ham at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Former Newcastle United striker Owen has predicted both the Saints and the Hammers to score, but the Englishman believes that the home team will pick up all three points from the encounter.

“Southampton had 29 shots at goal in their goalless draw against Swansea last weekend and they will be looking for better luck in front of goal against the Hammers,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“This is the second of four successive home games Saints have to start the new campaign, and I think they will edge what should be an entertaining game.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Southampton to win and both teams to score at 5/2.”

Southampton kicked off their 2017-18 Premier League campaign with a goalless draw with Swansea City at St. Mary’s Stadium last weekend.

The performance of the Saints was not great, and manager Mauricio Pellegrino will hope for his players to step up against West Ham.

The Hammers also failed to win last weekend, going down 4-0 to Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Slaven Bilic’s side were blown away by the Red Devils, and the London club will be determined to pick up at least a point against Southampton this weekend.
