Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Everton striker Romelu Lukaku will score against Middlesbrough on Saturday evening.

Everton will take on Middlesbrough at Goodison Park in the Premier League in a few hours’ time.

Owen believes that Lukaku will score at least once for the Toffees against Boro.

“Follow a striker in form is my motto and, having gone 1139 minutes without a goal for Everton, Romelu Lukaku has scored three in his last 29 minutes on the pitch for the Blues,” the Englishman wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Belgium international also found the back of the Boro net in the League Cup quarter-final between the sides at the Riverside back in December and those goals at the Stadium Of Light will have done his confidence a power of good.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Lukaku to score anytime at 6/5.”

Everton's Romelu Lukaku

Lukaku has scored three goals and created six chances in three Premier League appearances for Everton so far this season.

All those three goals came against Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light on Monday evening.

The Belgium international striker was superb against the Black Cats, and he will be determined to bag one or two more against Boro.

Everton will head into this evening’s match as favourites and in form.

It is hard to see the Toffees lose at Goodison Park this evening, but Middlesbrough can pick up a point.

Everton are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 10 points from four matches, two points behind leaders Manchester City, while Middlesbrough are ninth in the standings.
