Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur will face Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle United in the Premier League this afternoon.

Tottenham will kick off their 2018-19 Premier League campaign with a game against Newcastle away from home at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.
Former Newcastle striker Owen has backed Rafael Benitez’s side to pick up at least a point against Spurs.
Owen wrote on Betvictor.com: “Spurs have several key players returning from World Cup action on Monday and it will be fascinating to see if Pochettino starts with Kane and co at St James’s Park on Saturday or keeps them on the bench. I think Newcastle will keep a point.”
Who will win?
Playing at home will give Newcastle an advantage, and the St. James’ Park faithful will be giving their full backing to the players.
While Tottenham are a better team than Newcastle, the first day of the season is always tricky and does throw some interesting results.

Newcastle should be confident of starting the season with a positive result, and an early goal will be massive for them.
The Magpies could struggle for survival in the Premier League yet again this season, and a point against Tottenham – who will be aiming to challenge for the league title in 2018-19 – could prove hugely important later on in the campaign.
