Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.
Tottenham will take on Newcastle away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Former Newcastle striker Owen has backed the North London outfit to kick off their new season with victory over the Magpies.

“Newcastle won their last PL game 5-1 against Spurs on the final day of the 2015/16 season when the north London Club had given vain chase to champions Leicester for much of the season,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“My old club would take a 1-0 win on Sunday, but Spurs will be well aware of the need to make a quick start to the campaign and they might just edge out a Magpies side who I hope will have a good season back where they belong – in the Premier League.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Spurs to win and both teams to score at 9/4.”

Newcastle won automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of last season, and the Magpies will be determined to kick off their 2017-18 Premier League campaign on a winning note.
Playing at home will give Rafael Benitez’s side an advantage, but Spurs will head into the game as favourites.
The North London outfit have a much better team than Newcastle have, and it will come as a surprise if Mauricio Pochettino’s side fail to pick up at least a point at St. James’ Park.
However, Spurs should be careful not to concede an early goal or allow Newcastle to have too much of the ball in the opening 20 minutes.
