Newcastle United will face Everton in the Premier League this week.

Newcastle will face Everton at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.
The Magpies will head into the game against the Toffees on the back of a 3-2 defeat to Leicester City at St. James’ Park in the league.
The result at the weekend means that Rafael Benitez’s side are now 16th in the Premier League table with just 15 points from 16 matches.

Newcastle are only two points above the relegation zone and are in serious danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Everton currently find themselves 10th in the league table with 19 points from 16 matches.
Sam Allardyce’s side played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Merseyside derby.
The Toffees’ recent form and results have improved, and former Newcastle striker Owen believes that they will pick up a point at St. James’ Park on Wednesday evening.

Owen wrote on Betvictor.com: “Newcastle don’t have the best of records against Everton losing six of their last seven games and the Magpies have only picked up one point from their last seven league games.
“Rafa Benitez will have been disappointed to concede three at home to a good Leicester side at the weekend and they must improve defensively if they don’t want to get embroiled in a relegation battle.
“That said Everton were poor at Anfield despite picking up a valuable point on Sunday and Benitez has never lost a home PL game against the Blues. I expect that run to continue midweek although both sides may have to settle for a point.”
A footnote added: “Tip: Match to finish in a draw at 23/10.”
