Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Manchester United will win against West Ham United this weekend.

United will take on West Ham at home in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

Owen has backed the Red Devils to pick up all three points from the encounter at Old Trafford.

“It is nearly a decade since West Ham last won at Old Trafford and I don’t expect the Irons to get anything against a United side who probably still feel aggrieved that they didn’t get the result against Arsenal last week that their performance deserved,” the former United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Hammers played well enough at White Hart Lane last weekend but they will miss the suspended Winston Reid and I expect to see a home win.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: United to win to nil 6/4.”

New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho poses ahead of the press conference

United are not in great form in the Premier League at the moment and are outside the top four.

Jose Mourinho’s side failed to win against Arsenal at Old Trafford last weekend, but they hammered Feyenoord 4-0 at home in Europa League Group A on Thursday evening.

With West Ham struggling for survival in the Premier League, the Red Devils will fancy their chances of picking up all three points at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

The Hammers are just a point above the relegation zone and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

Slaven Bilic’s side lost to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League last weekend.
