Michael Owen looks ahead to today’s Premier League clash between Manchester City and West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium.

Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Manchester City will win today’s Premier League game against West Ham United.

The former Manchester United and Liverpool striker expects the Citizens to return to winning ways and pick up all three points from the encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

“Pressure is mounting on Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, even more so with Jurgen Klopp announcing he is to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season and BetVictor report that the German has been backed into favourite to take over at the Etihad,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Citizens need to bounce back after last week’s derby defeat and are taken to do just that, against a West Ham side that are looking weary at the climax of a long season.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Manchester City to win to nil at 23/20 with BetVictor”.

Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?

Both City and West Ham are struggling for form at the moment, but home advantage does make Manuel Pellegrini’s side favourites to win today.

The Citizens have won their last three Premier League games at the Etihad Stadium, scoring 10 goals and conceding none in the process.

With the chance of winning the title now virtually gone, City will be determined to make sure that they finish in the top four.

West Ham have won just one of their last 10 Premier League matches, and although City have slipped up at home this season, it will be a surprise if Sam Allardyce’s side pick up all three points at the Etihad.
