Michael Owen has revealed on Twitter he believes that Liverpool will ‘comfortably’ beat Real Madrid in tonight’s Champions League final.

The Reds take on Carlo Ancelotti’s side in Paris as a potential treble awaits the English outfit.

Liverpool have already won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season and despite losing the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp’s troops could yet end the campaign in sensational fashion.

The Premier League giants will be favourites and Owen has claimed on Twitter that he doesn’t believe Los Blancos have any chance of winning tonight.

Owen is perhaps being a little ambitious when he predicts Liverpool to win easily.

As mentioned, the Reds are certainly favourites, but not only does Klopp has injury concerns – namely Fabinho and Thiago, who are expected to be available nonetheless – but they were competitive up until six days ago.

Liverpool had to beat Wolves in order to stand any chance of pipping Manchester City to the title, whereas Real Madrid cemented their status as Liga champions weeks ago.

Therefore, Ancelotti has had an easier time of it when it comes to resting players and it could, potentially, make a massive difference.
