West Ham United and Manchester United will face each other in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will score for Manchester United against West Ham United.

United will take on West Ham away from home at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Owen has backed Mkhitaryan to find the net for the Red Devils. The 27-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has scored two goals and created 12 chances in nine Premier League appearances so far this season.

“Both sides look to be improving and this should be a cracking game; United lost their last ever league game at Upton Park last season but I don’t think they will lose their first game at the London Stadium,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have been sensational in recent weeks and the latter could be the difference between the sides on Monday.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation; Mkhitaryan to score at anytime at 11/5.”

West Ham will head into the match against United on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.

The Hammers, though, had won all of their three previous matches prior to the defeat to Leicester. Slaven Bilic’s side are currently 12th in the standings with 22 points from 19 matches.

Meanwhile, United find themselves sixth in the Premier League table with 36 points from 19 matches.

Jose Mourinho’s side will head into the match against West Ham on the back of a 2-1 victory over Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.
