Everton and Manchester City will face each other in the Premier League this afternoon.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Manchester City will win against Everton this weekend.

Everton will take on City at home in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Owen has backed the Citizens to pick up all three points from the encounter at Goodison Park.

“Everton missed the energy of Idrissa Guye against Leicester City last weekend and I think City will have too much pace for the hosts at Goodison,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“Two missed penalties cost City two points in the reverse fixture at the Etihad, and they cannot afford any similar missed opportunities on Sunday.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Manchester City to win at 17/20.”

Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 30 points from 20 matches.

The Toffees will head into the match against City on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at Goodison Park in the league.

Playing at home will give an advantage to Ronald Koeman’s side, but it will be hard for them to win against City.

The Citizens are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 42 points from 20 matches.

Pep Guardiola’s side are very much in the running for the league title, but they will have to pick up all three points against Everton this afternoon.

City will head into the match against the Toffees on the back of a 5-0 victory over Premier League rivals West Ham United away from home in the third round of the FA Cup.
