Everton and Leicester City will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Everton will fail to win against Leicester City at home this weekend.
Everton will take on Leicester at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
“Leicester won at Goodison in the FA Cup early in the season and Craig Shakespeare will equal the PL record for the number of consecutive wins from the start of a tenure with a club if the Foxes make it six on the spin for their new manager,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Everton must do without Ashley Williams through suspension and I think Leicester will get a result although confidence is tempered by the fact that the Foxes travel to Vicente Calderon Stadium Madrid on Wednesday for their |Champions League quarterfinal 1st leg with Atletico Madrid.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Leicester City double chance (win or draw) at 11/1.”
Playing at home will give Everton an advantage, but the Toffees’ recent form and results have not been great.
Ronald Koeman’s side drew 1-1 with Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.
The Toffees went down 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield in the Merseyside derby last weekend.
Meanwhile, Leicester are on a roll and are pulling away from the Premier League relegation zone.
The Foxes are eight points above the bottom three and are as high as 11th in the standings at the moment.
Under Craig Shakespeare, Leicester have won all six of their matches and seem to have turned around their fortunes.
The Foxes will certainly fancy their chances of winning against Everton, but one should not be surprised if the Toffees register a narrow win.
