Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Everton will lose against Chelsea at home this weekend.

Everton will take on Chelsea at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen has backed the Toffees to pick up all three points from the encounter.

Michael Owen celebrates during the Star Sixe's match between England and Spain in the at The O2 Arena on July 13, 2017 in London, England.

“Everton have lost their last three PL games against Chelsea by an aggregate of 10-0 and this will be a real examination of the Blues’ recent improvement under Sam Allardyce,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Toffees have had their fair share of luck in recent games but 13 points out of their last five league games shows just how far this young Everton side have come in the last month or so.

“That said Chelsea have already beaten Everton three times in 2017 and scored ten times in their last three visits to Goodison. Antonio Conte’s side can take the points back to the capital.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Chelsea to win at 13/20.”

Everton have recovered from their poor start to the season and are playing well under new manager Sam Allardyce at the moment.

The Toffees are scoring goals and are also looking very good defensively, and one should not be surprised if they manage to win against Chelsea.

The Blues have a much better team that the Merseyside outfit do, but playing at home will give Alladyce’s side an advantage.

If Chelsea are on top of their game, then they should be able to win at Goodison Park, but an early goal for Everton could make it tricky for Antonio Conte’s team.

Chelsea are third in the Premier League table at the moment, while Everton are currently ninth in the standings.
