Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Everton will fail to win this weekend.

Everton will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion away from home at the American Express Community Stadium in the Premier League.

Owen believes that the Toffees will fail to pick up all three points from the encounter, and has predicted the match to end in a 1-1 draw.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman at a press conference at Goodison Park on July 10, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

“Everton have only scored six times in their last 12 PL games and they looked devoid of confidence in front of their own supporters against Burnley last time,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“It is possible that they will play with more freedom on the south coast, but the Seagulls were good value for their home win against Newcastle in their last game at the Amex and I think they will get a draw against Ronald Koeman’s side.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Game to finish in a 1-1 draw at 11/2

“Michael’s correct score prediction: Brighton 1 – 1 Everton.”

Ronald Koeman, Manager of Everton shows appreciation to the fans after Premier League match between Everton and Watford at Goodison Park on May 12, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Everton are struggling for points at the moment, and the performances of the Merseyside outfit have also left much to be desired.

Ronald Koeman is a good manager, but the Dutchman needs to start getting results from now on.

The Toffees have some wonderful players, who need to step up their game and rise to the occasion.

Brighton are fighting for survival in the Premier League this season and will be hard to win against, but Everton have better players than the side who won promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
