Arsenal and Bournemouth will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.

Television pundit and former footballer Michael Owen speaks to the media during the Soccerex Global Convention

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Arsenal will win against Bournemouth this weekend.

Arsenal will take on Bournemouth at home in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Owen has backed the Gunners to pick up all three points from the encounter at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

“Many in the media were suggesting the Gunners are inconsistent after their fortunate draw with PSG midweek – I couldn’t disagree more,” the Englishman wrote on Betvictor.com.

“Arsenal are excellent against inferior teams but are just short of the very best not only in Europe but in the Premier League.

“They are a good side with quality players but just not good enough to win the PL or Champions League.

“The Gunners were also fortunate to get a point at Old Trafford last weekend but should have enough to keep the points against the Cherries, despite the latter having picked up an excellent win at Stoke last weekend.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Arsenal to win and Both Teams To Score at 7/4.”

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger

Arsenal are in decent form at the moment and should fancy their chances of picking up all three points against Bournemouth.

The Gunners have failed to win any of their last three competitive matches, but they have a much better team than the Cherries have and will head into Sunday afternoon’s match as favourites.

The North London outfit are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 25 points from 12 matches.

Arsene Wenger’s side are just three points behind leaders Chelsea and are very much in the race for the league title this season.

Bournemouth are doing quite well in the league at the moment and currently find themselves 10th in the standings.

Eddie Howe’s side won 1-0 against Stoke City away from home at the bet365 Stadium in the Premier League last weekend.
