Michael Owen raved about Alisson on Premier League Productions following his performance for Liverpool against Manchester United at Anfield.
The former Liverpool and United striker believes that Alisson is the best goalkeeper in the world, and that he never makes a mistake.
Owen made the comments while analysing the performance of the 28-year-old Brazil international against United at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
The former AS Roma goalkeeper denied Bruno Fernandes twice and Paul Pogba once and was a strong presence between the posts, as he always is.
Owen said about Alisson on Premier League Productions: “Alisson is just phenomenal, best goalkeeper in the world, in my opinion. He rarely makes saves that you think, ‘Wow, that’s unbelievable’. He does everything, so he never makes a mistake.”
World-class goalkeeper
Alisson has been superb for Liverpool since he moved to the club in 2018.
The goalkeeper’s performances between the posts have been key in the Reds winning the Premier League title and the Champions League.
Liverpool do have a strong back-line, especially when Virgil van Dijk is playing, and Alisson is not always called into action.
When Alisson does have to make saves, he makes them flawlessly, and for Liverpool to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season, he will have to be on top of his game throughout.
