Tottenham Hotspur will face Watford this weekend, while Arsenal will take on Manchester United.
North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are in action in the Premier League this weekend.
While the Gunners will face Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Saturday evening, Spurs will take on Watford away from home at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.
Tottenham’s recent form and results have not been great, while Arsenal are going strong and are one of the top contenders for the Champions League places.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen does not fancy either of the North London club’s chances of winning this weekend.
“Leicester put a dent in Spurs’ top four hopes midweek and Mauricio Pochettino’s side have already lost as many Premier League games (4) this term as they did in the whole of last season,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“The Hornets have shipped ten goals at Vicarage Road against the two Manchester clubs in the Premier League this season although they improved in the second half against United midweek.
“Spurs are relying too heavily on Harry Kane for goals and if there is to be a winner at Vicarage Road, I think it might be the hosts.”
“Arsenal have won their last 12 home games in a row but I can see United taking at least a point in the game of the weekend at the Emirates,” Owen wrote about Arsenal v Manchester United.
“A fascinating contest, which could go either way although I am just swaying towards United,” added Owen.
Despite Tottenham’s recent form, it cannot be denied that they have a better team than Watford, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side should head into the match with confidence.
One should not be surprised if Spurs end up picking up all three points courtesy of a narrow 1-0 or 2-1 win.
As for Arsenal, given how Jose Mourinho’s United have performed so far this season and the strength of their squad, the Gunners would do well to draw.
