Michael Owen has said on Amazon Prime Video (9:59pm, March 10, 2022) that Leeds United fans were “getting very agitated” against Aston Villa at Elland Road last night.
Leeds suffered a 3-0 defeat to Villa at Elland Road in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
The loss has enhanced the Whites’ chances of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen was working as a pundit for Amazon Prime Video for the Premier League game between Leeds and Villa.
The Englishman was at Elland Road, and he has noted how the Leeds fans were reacting.

Michael Owen on Leeds United fans
Owen said: “The fans were getting very agitated. We were sat in this side of the area. It doesn’t feel like a great atmosphere at the moment.”
Real worry
In our view, Leeds fans should have real worries about their side getting relegated from the Premier League.
The team were defensively poor against Villa and really could not threaten Gerrard’s team.
We saw some encouraging signs against Leicester City last weekend when they were defensively more organised and structured.
However, against Villa, the Leeds players were all over the place.
New Leeds head coach Jesse Marsch has to do something quick to fix his team’s problem.
