Ronald Koeman’s Everton will face Hajduk Split away from home in the Europa League qualifier this evening.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman at a press conference at Goodison Park on July 10, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Everton will progress to the group stage of the Europa League this season.

Everton will take on Hajduk Split away from home in the second leg of the playoff tie this evening.

The Merseyside outfit will head into the game with a 2-0 lead from the first leg played at Goodison Park last week.

Former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker Owen has backed Ronald Koeman’s side to get the job done in the second leg this evening.

“Everton have to travel to Stamford Bridge to face Champions Chelsea on Saturday but I still expect Ronald Koeman’s side to be fully-focused on Thursday’s second-leg with Hajduk Split,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Blues produced a polished performance to win the first leg 2-0 at Goodison and should score an away goal to put the tie beyond doubt.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Both teams to score at 5/6.”

Everton are a better team than Hajduk Split, and they showed that in the first leg at Goodison Park last week.

Although the Toffees could concede an away goal, it is hard to imagine Ronald Koeman’s side letting a two-goal advantage slip.

The Merseyside outfit have made a strong start to the season, and the fans should be confident of the team booking their place in the group stage of the Europa League this season.
