Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Tottenham Hotspur will fail to win this weekend.
Tottenham will take on Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Owen believes that Spurs will fail to pick up all three points from the encounter against the Cherries.
“Bournemouth continue to impress and I wasn’t surprised they gave Hull a bit of a hiding at Dean Court last weekend,” the former Newcastle United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“The Cherries only ever win against Spurs was in the FA Cup back in February 1957 and the north London side hit eight in the two PL games last season; I think they will find this Bournemouth side a totally different proposition.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Game to finish in a draw at 27/10.”
Tottenham have a better team than Bournemouth do, but playing at home will give the Cherries an advantage.
Eddie Howe’s side won 6-1 against relegation candidates Hull City at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League last weekend.
Bournemouth play good and passing football, and they could hurt Spurs with a goal in the opening minutes of the match.
Tottenham are in good form at the moment, but one should not be surprised if they have to settle for a draw at the Vitality Stadium or even suffer a narrow defeat.
Spurs are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 18 points from eight matches, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth currently find themselves 11th in the standings with 11 points from eight games.
