West Ham United and Middlesbrough will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Middlesbrough will not lose this weekend.

Middlesbrough will take on West Ham United away from home at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Owen believes that Aitor Karanka’s side will pick up at least a point from the match in London.

The former Newcastle United striker has also warned West Ham, who are struggling at the moment.

The Hammers are currently third from bottom in the Premier League table with just three points from six matches.

After facing Middlesbrough at the London Stadium this weekend, West Ham will take on Crystal Palace away from home at Selhurst Park after the international break.

The London club will then host Sunderland, and Owen has underlined the importance of their next two home matches.

“These are worrying times for Slaven Bilic and all Hammers’ fans and they were easily brushed aside by a confident Southampton side at the London Stadium last weekend,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Irons have two home games against Boro and Sunderland this month; if they don’t pick up at least four points in those fixtures it could be a very long winter.

“The Hammers have beaten Boro in their last seven PL home games but they have only beaten 10-man Bournemouth and Accrington Stanley so far this term and they are hard to recommend with any confidence at present.”

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Double chance: Boro to either win or draw at 7/10.”

West Ham have lost five of their opening six matches of a league season for the first time.

Middlesbrough, who got promoted from the Championship at the end of last season, have won only one of their last 12 Premier League games.
