Pundit Michael Owen believes Arsenal will come up short this season.

Michael Owen does not believe Unai Emery will be able to turn Arsenal’s fortunes around in their first season.
Owen writes in his column for BetVictor that he predicts Arsenal will finish in sixth place – the same position they achieved under Arsene Wenger in 2017/18.
He said: “Arsenal start life without Arsene Wenger and I feel Unai Emery will also need time as he tries to get the Gunners back into the Champions League.
“I’m not convinced they have the squad to make a top-four challenge, but they will pick up plenty of points at the Emirates although they must show they have the defensive capabilities to compete with the best on the road.”

Arsenal have spent a lot of money reshaping their squad this summer since appointing Unai Emery as Wenger’s replacement.
Star strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are also both rested after the summer and looked sharp in pre-season.
The Gunners kick their season off on Sunday against Manchester City at The Emirates, and have a real chance to lay down a marker for the season ahead.
