Tottenham Hotspur lost against Chelsea in the Premier League at the weekend.
Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has stated on social networking site Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris should have saved Chelsea’s second goal at the weekend.
Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at the Wembley Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Marcos Alonso scored both the goals for the Blues, his second coming in the 88th minute of the encounter from close range.
It proved to be the winning goal in the match, and former Newcastle United striker Owen believes that Spurs goalkeeper Lloris should have kept out Alonso’s attempt at the near post.
Former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker has also made a similar observation about the France international goalkeeper, who joined the North London outfit from Ligue 1 club Lyon in the summer of 2012 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £11.8 million.

Tottenham were arguably the better team in the London derby and probably deserved something from the match.
However, losing 2-1 to the defending Premier League champions is not an embarrassment, and Spurs fans will be confident that the team will bounce back.
Spurs will take on Burnley at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League this coming Sunday.
