West Ham United will return to action on Friday evening when they take on Leicester City at home in the Premier League.

The Hammers will head into the match at the London Stadium on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the league.

David Moyes’s side are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment and are in danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.

West Ham are just a point behind 17th-placed West Bromwich Albion, and results need to improve.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has given his take on the match between the Hammers and the Foxes.

The former Newcastle United and Real Madrid striker believes that the game at the London Stadium will be entertaining and will have goals, a prediction that both West Ham and Leicester fans will hope come true.

“West Ham were poor at Watford in their first game under David Moyes on Sunday and they don’t have a great recent record against Leicester given they are without a win in the last five Premier League games between the sides,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

“The Hammers have lost their last two home games in the PL, and conceded seven goals in the process, but I think we will see an improved showing on Friday and I’m confident we will see goals and an entertaining game.”
