Michael Owen has given his take on controversial VAR decisions during the Premier League games between Tottenham Hotspur and Sheffield United and Leicester City and Arsenal at the weekend, as posted on Twitter.

The former Liverpool and Manchester United striker has suggested on Twitter that people are unfairly criticising VAR, and believes that it is doing what it is supposed to do.

During the 1-1 draw between Tottenham and United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, the Blades had a goal ruled out by VAR following a decision that took almost four minutes, as reported on BBC Sport.

Also on Saturday, Leicester got the better of Arsenal 2-0 at the King Power Stadium, but the Foxes felt that they could have won by a bigger margin as they were denied a penalty when Caglar Soyuncu was pulled back by Matteo Guendouzi, as reported by Football.London.

While Leicester are second in the league table at the moment, Arsenal are sixth in the standings, Tottenham are 14th and United are fifth.
