Michael Owen has claimed that Tottenham striker Harry Kane ‘makes it look so easy’ after his side produced a stunning comeback during their 3-2 win at Leicester on Wednesday night, as he told PL Productions (19/01/22 at 10:20 pm).

The former striker also noticed how Tottenham were ‘almost fighting’ Kasper Schmeichel when they equalised at the King Power because they thought they could still get the winner.

Well, get the winner they did and in quite a dramatic fashion, with Steven Bergwijn being the hero of the night.

Heading into the 95th minutes, Spurs were losing 2-1 and when Bergwijn equalised, he was eager to get the ball back to kick-off again.

That’s when Spurs, somehow, hit Brendan Rodgers on the counter again, with Kane supplying a brilliant through ball for Bergwijn to round the keeper and put the ball into the back of the net.

It was quite a staggering finish in the Midlands and an evening to saviour for the Spurs away supporters.

Owen praised Kane for the part he played yesterday and Tottenham’s instant reaction to equalising.

“He (Kane) just makes it look so easy, doesn’t he?” said Owen. “And one thing I picked up on there as well.

“When they scored their second goal, their equaliser. They were almost fighting Kasper Schmeichel to get the ball back. This was like in the 95th minute.

“So, they were straight on it. In their mind, they are thinking (we can win). I tell you what, fair play to them.”

Slowly but surely, Kane is starting to get his engine going after a pretty abject start to the campaign.

The England captain now has five goals from his 18 Premier League matches, including four from his last five matches.

It wouldn’t be a surprise, come the end of the campaign, that Kane is in double figures and perhaps edging towards the 20 goal mark.

It sounds crazy, but that’s exactly what he is capable of producing during the second half of the season.
