Michael Owen told Premier League Productions during their live coverage of Tottenham’s win against Crystal Palace on Sunday that Heung-Min Son has ‘gone quite quiet’ during the ‘last few months’.
The 28-year-old played his part in Tottenham’s 4-1 win over the weekend, as his assist to Harry Kane proved to be record-breaking.
Usually, it’s Kane supplying the Spurs speedster, but this time it was Son turning the tables and writing the duo’s name into the history books.
Both Kane and Son have broken Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton’s record of most goal involvements (14) in a single Premier League campaign.
Nonetheless, this is what Owen had to say about Son and that long-standing record being broken.
“They have (Kane and Son as a duo) been quiet recently,” said Owen. “Me and Scholesy (Paul Scholes) were talking before about Son’s probably gone quite quiet in the last few months.
“But to beat that, it’s a long record from Sutton and Shearer.”

The last time Son was on the scoresheet for Tottenham was during his side’s 2-0 win against West Brom last month.
Added with that, he did supply two assists when Spurs put four past Burnley over a week ago.
So, it’s pretty good for a player who has ‘gone quiet’.
