Michael Owen has predicted on Twitter that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will start challenging for the Premier League title in two more years’ time.
The former Liverpool striker made the prediction while watching Arsenal in action against Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Arsenal won the Premier League match with relative ease to enhance their chances of finishing in the top four.
Michael Owen on Arsenal and Mikel Arteta

On the right track
In our view, Arsenal are on the right track under Arteta and are going places.
Now, of course, we must not get carried away, as there is still a lot of work to be done.
Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers all have aspirations of finishing in the Champions League places.
So, in our view, Arsenal cannot afford any slip-ups and must not allow complacency to creep.
However, Arsenal’s progress under Arteta is there for everyone to see.
The Gunners have a very young squad, and the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe will only get better in the coming years.
If Arsenal are able to finish in the Champions League places, then they will be able to attract quality players in the summer transfer window.
That will make the Arsenal squad even better and stronger.
