Rodney Marsh has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Chelsea’s win against Manchester City in the Champions League final tonight.

Chelsea have got the better of Premier League rivals City 1-0 in Portugal in the final of Europe’s premier club competition.

Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute.

Former City forward Marsh was following the match, and he has given his take on the final result on Twitter, and so has ex-Liverpool striker Michael Owen.

Chelsea were the better side and deservedly won the final.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were defensively very good and dominated the middle of the park.

City simply could not impose themselves in midfield and failed to get enough shots on target.

In fact, Pep Guardiola’s side have just one shot on target all night.

True, City had 60% of the possession, but in the end, it did not matter.

Perhaps Guardiola should have included Fernandinho in the starting lineup.

That could have helped City in making themselves a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park.

Chelsea will be overjoyed at winning the Champions League, but City fans should remember that they did win the Premier League title this season.
