“Bournemouth’s 1-0 win on the south coast in the reverse fixture back in September was Ronald Koeman’s first PL loss as Everton boss and the Blues have looked good in recent weeks with teenagers Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman among the goalscorers in their last home game against Manchester City,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.

Paul Merson - All Stars XI

Former Arsenal attacker Paul Merson has also backed Everton to win against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

“Bournemouth have hit a bit of a brick wall and need a victory quickly,” Merson wrote on Skysports.com. “Otherwise they could see themselves getting dragged into the relegation scrap. However, this is another difficult game for them and I can’t see past an Everton win.”

A footnote added: “PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0.”

Everton are in good form at the moment and will fancy their chances of winning against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

The Merseyside outfit will head into the game against the Cherries on the back of a 1-1 draw with Stoke City away from home at the bet365 Stadium in the league.

Ronald Koeman’s side are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 37 points from 23 matches.

Meanwhile, Stoke currently find themselves ninth in the standings with 29 points from 23 games.

Everton’s tally of 22 points at home this season is only one shy of their final total at Goodison during the 2015-16 campaign, according to BBC Sport.
