Tottenham Hotspur and Everton will face each other in the Premier League this weekend. Tottenham will host Everton at White Hart Lane in North London on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs will head into the match against the Toffees on the back of a 4-0 victory over Stoke City at White Hart Lane. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in good form at the moment and will be confident of picking up all three points from the encounter.
The North London outfit, though, should not get complacent. Everton are a good team and are playing well at the moment. The Toffees will certainly fancy their chances of bagging at least one point at White Hart Lane.
The match between Tottenham and Everton on Sunday afternoon promises to be very interesting and exciting, and there could be a few goals. As both teams like to play attacking football, it should be a great game to watch for the neutrals.
Ahead of the match, former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen has given his prediction, and so has ex-Arsenal star Martin Keown.
“Both Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen limped off for Spurs against Stoke last weekend and their injuries took the gloss off what was a terrific first-half performance,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“All eyes will be on the inform strikers Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku and I expect to see goals and a home win at the Lane on Sunday.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Spurs to win and both teams to score.”
“This is game of the weekend for me,” Keown wrote in The Daily Mail. “Tottenham are oozing class and at home they have an energy about them that makes them invincible.
“It will not be easy against an in-form Everton but they should have enough to win – Tottenham 2-1 Everton.”
