Rangers’ Michael O’Halloran shoots
Rangers winger Michael O’Halloran has told the club’s official website that he is enjoying the increased competition at Ibrox.
Rangers have been busy this summer, bringing in no fewer than eight new faces so far, with big name captures such as Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar among them.
Joe Dodoo scores the fourth goal for Leicester
They may be set to complete their ninth signing this week, with a move for Leicester City’s Joe Dodoo in the works.
All those news faces have added quality to the squad, while competition for places is the fiercest it’s been for several years.
While that may not excite some players, O’Halloran insists he is enjoying the increasing competition and is keen to prove himself to Mark Warburton next season.
“Competition for places is what I want here,” he told rangers.co.uk.
We’ve got a good mix of youth and experience and some of the boys have played at the highest level in England. I aim to prove to the manager that I’m worthy of a jersey.”
Rangers manager Mark Warburton celebrates at the end of the match
It will certainly be interesting to see what kind of line up that Mark Warburton elects to go with across this campaign.
He has given himself plenty of options with his signings next season, making his job somewhat easier for himself as they eye a title challenge.
At the same time he faces a tough choice deciding who he drops from his title winning side of last season in order to accommodate the new faces.
