Glasgow Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran has denied that he would refuse to play for the Ibrox side.

O’Halloran endured a fairly miserable time with the Gers, failing to really break into the team under the boss who signed him, Mark Warburton, as well as his successor Pedro Caixinha.

The forward’s days with the Gers appeared to be numbered when reports – including one from The Scottish Sun – suggested that he had failed to turn up for a youth team game that he was scheduled to play in back in April.
But O’Halloran – who was awarded the Scottish Premiership Player of the Month award for his performances for St Johnstone having returned to his former side on loan this summer – has insisted that he would never refuse to play.

“That was a load of nonsense. I know there was a lot of stuff said about me, but I would never do that. That’s not in my nature. I always want to play football. I would never refuse to play in a game. I would never not turn up. But I am not allowed to discuss it,” he said, as reported by the Evening Times.
Unfortunately for the 26-year-old, he would not play again for the Light Blues following the reports that he snubbed the youth team game.
But with the forward’s loan at St Johnstone set to finish in January as things stand, perhaps the incident – regardless of what actually went on – may not prove to be the final chapter in his Ibrox career.
